HONG KONG CLUB - NEW DELHI

One of the biggest attractions of a luxury hotel such as Andaz Delhi needed to be an iconic destination restaurant, radically different in its attitude and offer that would become the most talked about place in the city. This had to be the Hong Kong Club, an innovative magnet and a lively social place housed in a floating glass pavilion within the hotel courtyard.

It features two floors with 292 covers and double height spaces, an island bar, open kitchens and hidden private dining rooms - it had to become the epicentre of nightlife in Delhi.

Our first aim was to organise the striking interior, maximising the potential of an extraordinary tripe high volume and the luminosity and transparency of the space. The design plays with the idea of ‘Chinoiserie’ but seen through contemporary eyes and has a higher ‘wow’ factor and a grander sense of luxury than anywhere else in the hotel.

The elegant, almost sumptuous ambiance is eclectic and surprising, creating impact through special gestures, daring features and the selection of new Chinese art.
