HOSPITALITY
ANdAZ NEW DELHI
Andaz Hotels, the innovative Hyatt owned brand, aims to create a barrier-free environment where the guests are encouraged to explore their personal sense of style and become inspired by the spirit of the culture around them.
Our task was to realise this objective conveying a new and fresh design perspective that would push the boundaries of the trite boutique hotel formula and place it in the context of the cultural and social transformation of India.
The starting point was to deconstruct the rich imagery of India, selecting and integrating traditional elements, colours and textures into a contemporary state-of-the-art design scheme. Fresh and decluttered, the spaces are defined and transformed by light, introducing bright accent colours, textures and materiality as highlights, punctuated by interesting design insertions, unusual furniture and extraordinary curated showpieces of new Indian contemporary artists.
Our wide scope included all areas of the hotel offer, consisting of 401 residential-style guestrooms, 45 suites, public areas, lobby, restaurants and bar, studios, spa and ballroom as well as private apartments.
The Andaz project was the result of an effective team collaboration, which included Bauer Latoza Studio in the building architecture, local implementation architectural firm SWBI, Crackwell in the external landscaping and Rajeev Sethi as art consultant.

The Telegraph, said:
“Hyatt’s first Andaz foray into India is a triumph: the lifestyle hotel stamps its individual mark from the moment you step inside. From the buzzy Cantonese restaurant (which has DJ sessions and exceptional food) to the thoughtfully designed rooms, there is so little not to like.” (Telegraph expert rating 9/10)
